Integral Logistics Control
Royal FloraHolland wishes to be – and remain – a major service provider in the floriculture industry. To enable new logistics service provision in the future, it will be necessary to replace our logistics IT systems with state-of-the-art equipment.

We will therefore be optimizing, standardizing and digitizing logistics processes at the following export locations: Naaldwijk, Aalsmeer and Rijnsburg. This is to ensure that our approach to logistics is identical at all our locations, and that we are ready for tomorrow's logistics. We call this Integral Logistics Control (ILC) - uniform logistics provision at all locations.
Integral Logistics Control (ILC)
To realize our ambitions, we are developing a new IT system, a Warehouse Management System (WMS). This system provides digital insight into where products are within the logistics process, per location, making the logistics process more accessible and easier for us. A WMS also guides processes and employees, ensuring that every task is tackled according to priority. Upon full implementation, the new system will be the foundation on which we can build new services, logistical or otherwise.
Approach and planning
The development and implementation of the new WMS cannot interfere with the day-to-day logistics process. Therefore, we will be phasing in the system, one small process step at a time. We will start with the unloading at Supply in Naaldwijk in December 2018. Rijnsburg and Aalsmeer will follow suit. Subsequently, we will continue with the next process step within Supply. Implementation across the entire process will take approximately 2 years.
What does this mean for you?
Depending on the process step that we will be tackling with ILB, suppliers, customers and transporters will notice changes in the system or on the shop floor. We will keep you informed about developments and possible consequences for you. Of course, we will do our utmost to ensure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible for you.
